Perforce-grade workflows, redesigned for Unreal.

Git and LFS were never designed for exclusive work on huge binary maps. Perforce gets the locks right, then wraps them in depot ops most studios don’t want to run. Kenavo keeps exclusive checkout, atomic changelists and complete history — then modernizes storage, migration and how asset moves stay readable.

dangerous
The usual traps
1

Git + LFS: two artists save the same Harbor_P.umap. No real exclusive lock. Merge is not an option.

2

Helix: locks work, but everyday ops still mean depot admin, opaque tooling, and migrations that punish a single interruption.

3

Rename a folder in Content Browser and history becomes a wall of deletes and adds — identity lost, moves unreadable, storage copying full binaries again.

The Kenavo loop
1

Check out

Exclusive lease on the asset. Content Browser shows it’s checked out by someone else. Desktop and Unreal share the same agent truth.

2

Work

Save normally. History follows the asset across renames. Adaptive storage stores what changed — full blob or verified parent delta — without a mode to tune.

3

Submit

Atomic, immutable revision. Interrupted Connect transfers and migrations resume from durable checkpoints — visible, not silently lost.

Built around assets

History that follows the asset. Storage that adapts. Recovery that resumes.

fingerprint

Asset-aware history

Rename or reorganize Unreal content without turning one asset into an unrelated delete and add. Identity, history and move context stay together.

compress

Adaptive binary storage

Identical content is deduplicated. Each eligible version picks a compressed full blob or a verified parent delta — whichever is actually smaller. No manual mode.

sync

Resilient by design

Durable checkpoints, idempotent commits and explicit recovery states. Leave Perforce without losing history — pause, reconnect, resume from the last verified checkpoint.

Host on a PC today. Promote to Scaleway when you’re ready.

Start with Kenavo Connect on a studio host machine: invites, exclusive locks, Get Latest with resumable transfers. Same repository IDs, same history: hand the host role to Scaleway without rewriting the project.

Host · Connect · → Scaleway without history rewrite

One path. Two host modes.

Local store first. Share from a Host PC over Connect. When the studio needs always-on hosting, promote the same repo to Scaleway. Seamless, no Helix cutover.
